The Weweantic River is located on the south coast of Massachusetts, with the mouth of the river entering into Buzzards Bay from Wareham. Beginning in April of 2018, I began monitoring several water quality parameters along the river from the mouth up to Horseshoe Pond Dam, and also along the Sippican River up to Leonard Pond when water levels were high enough.
This map outlines the extent of our reaches throughout the Weweantic and Sippican Rivers. Our base camp is located about half way between the mouth of the river and the Horsehoe Pond Dam.
